TechnoFeudalism
"A track that draws on the darkness of the economic, environmental, and political turmoil we have all endured and the possibility and hope, that we can overturn it.” “… Dystopian, mechanical beats and bleeps of surveillance machinery and the state apparatus, anguished synths and disillusioned effect, drone subs representing modernity and our new satanic mills, the algorithmic market forces, the oppression of people’s creativity…. This eventually evolves… Morphing into hope filled melodics of a revolutionary rave, positive vibes, almost transcendent sound: symbolising the possibilities of music to bring people together in real life experience and solidarity…. To rave to the top in a race to the bottom.”

Techno feudalism – is a term coined by Greek economist Yanis Varoufaki in his book “Techno Feudalism Who Killed Capitalism” where he argues that the owners of big tech have become feudal overlords of the new world, capitalism has been replaced with a new economy, rewriting the rules of global power and defying democracy. An economy of mind enslavement and algorithms giving the illusion of a free market. Yanis also explores the ways in which to destroy and overcome this new feudalism, and the revolution we need to emancipate ourselves from digital imprisonment. “Jeff (Bezos, the owner of Amazon) doesn’t produce capital, he argues. He charges rent. Which isn’t capitalism, it’s feudalism. And us? We’re the serfs. “Cloud serfs”, so lacking in class consciousness that we don’t even realise that the tweeting and posting that we’re doing is actually building value in these companies” https://www.theguardian.com/world/2023/sep/24/yanis-varoufakistechnofeudalism-capitalism-ukraine-interview
